A new type of Edge Lit SignSignsalive.net has begun manufacture of a new type of edge lit sign. This new LED edge lit sign can rotate between a million colors. It does this by using a new type of LED, This is called a triple chip. The triple LED chip has three chips that can be activated at varying intensities to produce just about any color that can be produced with a red green and blue LED. The new LED chip produces a very intense beam of light which when combined with our advanced routing or engraving technique makes a very compelling light display. Mounting and Programming the Tri Chip LED'sThe new tri chip LED light can be mounted singly on one side of the LED edge lit display or they can be mounted completely around the sign. The LED's are connected together by wiring connectors and then controlled by a single controller which is programmed to produce many different patterns and sequences of light. The controller can be used by the operator to pause the lights at any color desired or the lights can be left to cycle through a preset pattern. More advanced controllers can be purchased to make the lights be manipulated to music or computer controlled to follow programmed rhythms. The added cost of incorporating RGB LED chip TechnologyThe Color changing technology does cost a little more than a standard one color LED system because an RGB LED controller has to be added to the system. This usually will add about $80.00 to the cost of your display. Each light strip which is in the system that has RGB capability has an added cost of $5.00 per 20 inch strip over a one color LED strip.
