THE ACRYLICAt signsalive.net we start with the best quality cast acrylic because the acrylic is the backbone of an edge lit sign. We do not use cheap extruded acrylic and unless our customer specifies otherwise we always use 3/8 (three eighths) thickness acrylic. Using this thickness acrylic allows use to machine aggressively into the acrylic to produce the best three dimensional (3D) effect and lighting phenomena. Using this thickness of acrylic also allows us to properly fasten the acrylic to the light bar, that is right our signs are not held in place by some cheap clamping fixture that can unexpectedly fall apart. Our acrylics are held firmly in place by stainless steel fasteners. THE LEDSWe light our LED edge lit signs with the
brightest four chip automotive LEDs on the market. I believe our edge
lit LED signs are the brightest in the industry. Our signs can be seen
in the day as well as the night and at night can be seen from great
distances. Our signs are lit up with the famous piranha LEDs and if
you want the brightest LED's possible then we would be your natural choice.
