Answer: Channel lettering is a form of dimensional sign which is
used on storefronts shopping centers and many other types of business.
Channel lettering can be either illuminated or non illuminated. Channel
letting consist of a metal usually aluminum light enclosure which has
been shaped and fabricated into the form of a letter. This enclosure usually
holds LED or neon lights which illuminate each letter. The letters can
be individual or joined together as script. The letter cans or light enclosures
have a colored cap or Lens made of colored acrylic held in place by a
bead of metal that is screwed or pop riveted to the can or pan. Light
enclosure. Each individual letter of the sign can be mounted to the storefront
or the entire sign can be mounted as a unit on a metal box called a raceway.
The channel letter pans and lens can be completely made by hand or by
a combination of methods including cnc fabrication. Joinery and metal
fabrication is done by mig - tig welding metal clinching or riveting.

the LED lighting of the sign.
