Carved Wood Dog SignSignsalive.net can make any type of sign or plaque, We can carve and render realistic dogs cats or any other type of animal or pet. We have a vast library of 3d animal models to choose from when designing your sign. We also have the ability 3D scan pets and animals or even human and then take the resulting 3d data and carve it realistically into wood and or urethane foam.
Once we have acquired the 3D data to machine a model we can carve it into wood foam or any material that can be machined. We do this partially with a cnc machine and then we detail and hand carve the model of your pet, animal or advertisement. Sign MaterialYou can have your sign made from any species of lumber from the forest be it either hardwood, softwood domestic or imported. We have a plentiful stock of black walnut, Oak and mahogany hardwoods as well as pine and cedar to choose from. We also have HDU - (high density urethane foam) and this can be a most resilient material. It is also an attractive material when painted properly. The next step in the process is to finish paint the wood carving in the most realistic and artistic way possible. We do this with a combination of hand brushing and airbrushing of colors onto carving. Painting and finishing your custom carved signAfter the color and paint are applied to the carved wood sign or artwork. The whole piece is then sealed in a clear coat finish to protect it from the elements. We can use any type of finish you specify. For outdoor use we generally recommend two part automotive type finishes but for indoor use any type of polyurethane clear varnish will suffice. Our airbrush colors are all automotive base coat urethanes so they will hold up well regardless. A Special Effects CompanyOur company specializes in special effects artwork so we are up to any challenge you can throw at us. We enjoy the unusual or futuristic and our staff is well trained in 3D modeling 3D scanning and custom sculpture. We can render our art in just about any medium. If we cant machine it we can probably cast it from rubber molds. We have even made sculpture and other artwork in lost wax cast bronze, so please do not hesitate to ask if you want something different from the norm.
