OUR SHOPBOT ROUTER

This is our very advanced technology Shopbot CNC router that we make a lot of our carved wood signs with. It can handle signs up to four foot by eight foot in one piece. But here at Signsalive.net we have been known to make a larger sign by combining smaller cnc machined sign parts into a much larger sign.

CNC INDEXER

Recently we have added a new cnc tool to our cnc arsenal, We now have a fourth axis cnc indexer that is capable of routing in a full three dimensional mode adding to our already complete 3d capability. Instead of the old fashioned and time consuming method of hand turning sign side spindles on a wood lathe we can now cnc turn them on our new indexer. This mean that multiple parts can now be machined that match each other to within thousands of an inch.

OUR STAFF OF 3D ARTIST AND CRAFTSMEN

At Signsalive.net we have a qualified staff of educated and talented graphic artist ready to supply your every need in a dimensional carved wood or hdu sign. We have a very large selection of pre made 3d models to choose from to include in your design, Or we can custom design any object you would like to include in your sign. Our artist can skillfully design your 3d object in clay and then digitize the end result with our state of the art structured light 3d Scanner.

The object can then be cnc machined into the substrate of your choice. But always remember our artist are also award winning sculptors too and are willing to hand sculpt your difficult piece directly into the sign if need be.

You might ask if we are cheating by using a mechanized means to machine some of our signs. The answer is a resounding no. By offering CNC machined signs to our customers we can give them a cost efficiency that would otherwise be unobtainable. It is also well to keep in mind that every sign we make once machined is carefully gone over by hand to assure quality and detail. Our signs are also hand brush painted and airbrushed assuring a one of a kind uniqueness. Besides this, once a sign has been rendered by our very latest cad cam software it can be reproduced as many times as would be desired with a precision that is unbeatable.
