What is the difference between a CNC sign and
a hand carved sign.
A UNITED STATES COMPANY WITH ALL U.S. PRODUCTS
Answer: A CNC machined sign is designed in a computer with CAD-CAM
software and then machined with a CNC machine. CNC machine can deliver
precise results very quickly and efficiently . Hand carved signs are as
it is obvious hand carved, each sign is a one of a kind and takes a lot
of time to make and finish. Consequently hand carved 3d signs are more
expensive than cnc signs. Once a sign is designed on the computer it can
be duplicated as many times as desired on a CNC machine with precise results.
All vinyl cutout machines and vinyl printers as well as most engraving
machines are CNC machines. 3d lettering as well as relief work on HDU
as well as wood signs is more and more being done on CNC routers. CNC
machines while being cost effective will never replace the human hand
or the artist however and there will always be the requirement for hand
work , carving and general artistry in signmaking.
